The tournament finale, which was expanded this year to include a 50/50 raffle and gift auction encompassing donated prizes valued at over $12,000.00, was celebrated with the awards barbeque which began at 3:00PM on Sunday.  All the anglers, sponsors, guests, volunteers along with family and friends enjoyed traditional bar-b-q cuisine while the band "Don't Know Jack" from the Jersey Shore donated their time and talents to perform for over 3 hours during the festivities.  On hand for the kids was a face painter and balloon animals, cotton candy and popcorn machines.  For dessert, "The Cake Boss" in Hoboken, NJ donated a beautifully decorated and tasty cake creation.

Through the entry fees and generous donations of many sponsors, FISH 'N FOR THE CAUSE Tournament doubled the amount from last year's fundraiser for a total $20,000.00.  The 2013 recipients, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and Hometown Heroes-Restore the Shore were each given a check for $10,000.00.  Accepting on behalf of Hometown Heroes was President, Mike Schwartz. Jim Foglio of Brielle, NJ, himself a cancer survivor, spoke on behalf of Sloan Kettering.  Lunch Break was represented by Executive Director, Gwen Love.
